Tea

Actually I have never been a tea person. But I kind of started growing my own spices like rosmary, dill or cilantro but also lemon balm and peppermint. I mean, of course I could just ad them to different dishes but I had to realize that I can not even cook so much to use all of it up.

So I cut them yesterday and hung them up in my dark and warm pantry. It smells beautiful in our apartment I have to say. I used this old rack of my mom. She used to place mugs on it and hang them on the hooks, but I thought it might be a great idea to dry the lemon balm and peppermint by hanging it up.

After I dried them I will fill them into jars and place them in the rack.

So I think I am well prepared for the fall and winter season, when a possible cold hits me.

I still have to find a perfect fitting to the dried leafs. We collected blueberries the other day. Of course I will bake a blueberry pie or blueberry muffins but maybe I mix it with the lemon balm. I am curious if I can manage to create a yummy blueberry-lemon balm-tea.

My new passion... chalk board designs

I love Pinterest, some of you might share this addiction. I mean you can find ideas for anything, really. When I was aupair in the United States we met at Starbuck's all the time and I love the style of coffee houses. This rustic style with chalk board decorations. So I was looking for it on Pinterest and of course there were plenty of great decoration ideas.

So one day I planned to go shopping at DIY store. And it seemed like this DIY thing with chalk paint is quite in.

I started collecting all kinds of bottles and glasses that actually should be trash. But after all they all found a new meaning. Here are some of my creations.
